Yes I said it. I repeat, go against the norm!! Hahaha. Did I terrify you? I didn’t mean to but that’s the fierceness from the spirit. I’m very grateful for another privilege to be sharing this and for this journey being taken to a higher level. I’m always waiting in the comment section for your feedbacks and suggestions. They mean alot to me.

Acceptance and to be loved is one of the cravings of every human being. This has ruined alot of lives as some can do whatever it takes for the world to accept them. I have also been a victim of that. I once told you that I was given Christianity by my parents. I was raised in a certain way that separated me from the world. As I grew, I had the desire to be part of the trending fellows and be accepted. I got it all wrong. I wasn’t supposed to conform to the activities of this world.

Romans 12:2-“And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God”.

Do you ever have your friends say to you things like, “you no sabi” or “you don’t know what’s up”? These phrases and numerous others have caused alot of chaos in so many lives.

You are the light of the world. You are the standard. The salt of the earth. Your illumination should rekindle their own dimming light.

Remember a friend of the world is an enemy to God!! We’re in the world but not of the world.

James 4:4-“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God”.

You have a manual as to how to live your life and that’s the Word of God. Anything contrary to it, is a big NO!!!

Go against the norm!!! You have your Maker to please.

1John 5:19-“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness”.

I’ll be doing something different from the usual so do stick around till I return.

Until then, know your essence!!!

Love you.

Yay!! Good to be back. It’s been a great one so far. 2019 sure started on a good note for me and I definitely know yours can’t be anything short of God’s goodness. You’re a King and a Priest. He’s given you all that you need for a great life.

Happy new year to you, this is my first post for the year!!! I’m so happy to be back here again though I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to be putting up this blogpost this soon until something I want to talk to you about dropped in my spirit. I really need to put a pause on the long silence. I missed blogging.

The first month of the year isn’t over so I know we’re still preparing ourselves for the great year right in front of us. I’ve been reminiscing over the just ended year being 2018 and I thought I should share this with you. Remember it’s a journey and we’re on board together if you’re here for the first time, I love you!! Welcome on board!!! I’m excited you’re reading.

So, I want to tell you one right thing I did in 2018. I’ve never been this proud of any achievement in my life because I’m of the opinion that there’s always someone, somewhere who has done better. I’d rather be privately thankful to God and share with few friends and family but this one right thing is what I shout about. Even while sleeping, I smile knowing I did it (all smiles). You should be proud of me.

Are you ready? (eyes closed). And now….. EMBRACING GOD MORE. Having a closer relationship with Him. That’s it guys. It was and has been a wonderful decision I’ve always looked back on. That I’m still blogging is totally because I took that decision. The exceptionality of my knowledge of God last year still leaves me in awe.

I was in tears towards the end of 2018. Christmas was unique for me because I have a deeper revelation of Whom I was celebrating. I couldn’t even write a post on Christmas. I was all thankful for what He brought to us alongside His birth.

That one decision and act aligned all other aspects. I had a joyous and peaceful last year. It led to a decision that I have taken already for 2019. I’ll share with you soon so stay glued to this blog.

Until then, know your essence!!!

Love you.

Wow! Wow! Wow!.. I’m very grateful for this privilege to write about this topic and I’m most grateful to the Holy Spirit for His leading. I would have loved to stay more on this topic but remember it’s a journey so I can always revisit it anytime I can. Falling in love with God is a deliberate and conscious work by dwelling on His word and getting to know Him more. You’ll only get to love someone deeply when you spend more time with the person and get to know his/her personality. Believe me, God is love, awesome, everything sweet. The more I behold His word, I see all that He is and I feel safe and secure. All I ever want to do is love Him with my entire being and I hope you feel the same way. That’s my testimony, I’ll love you to share yours in the comment section so I can know how far you’ve come with loving our Maker. The day you believed in His name, repented of your sin and gave your life to Christ, the love of Christ was shed abroad in your heart but you need to spend more time with Him for that love to grow and be rooted.

Romans 5:5 says; “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us”. KJV

Now let me outline ways to love God;

-Accepting Him as your Lord and personal Savior. The Lord over your life, your essence.

-Knowing Him more through His word. Daily consumption of His word will make you see His awesomeness, He’ll reveal Himself to you for God is the Word. John 1:1; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. Trust me, doing this will unveil alot of blessings that He has kept for you to reach out for, by faith. Glory!!

-Denying Self. One of our biggest challenges to loving God is “self”. As you dwell in His presence, you’ll understand that you weren’t made for yourself but for Him. He comes before every other thing. Just as He said in Matthew 6:33; “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

-Keeping His commandments and doing His will. Some say no one can do that, yes that’s true but by strength shall no man prevail. (1 Samuel 2:9; “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail”.) The Holy Spirit is always there to guide our ways, total submission is all that is required.

-Loving your neighbor as yourself. I’ve kept this since the PT 1. This is very important, God lives in us as the Holy Spirit and He has made man in His own image and likeness. One way to know one who’s in love with God for by their fruits you shall know them, is the love He has towards his fellow man. I always say that man is the God we can see.

Mark 12:31;

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these”.

If you’ve been following this topic you’ll know why it was referred to as the second. You may need to see the other posts to flow better. Mark 12:29-31.

-Fellowshipping with Holy Spirit. When you spend time with the Holy Spirit, He’ll teach you all things.

-Trust Him completely.

-Helping the needy. Jesus went as far as telling us that when we help the needy that we do it unto Him. If you love God, you’ll help definitely.

Matthew 25:35-40; “For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in……….

…..And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”.

Proverbs 19:17; “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again”.

-Praise and thank Him for who He is.

-Daily remember His love and faithfulness.

It was indeed a journey, I hope this blesses you and inspires you. I love God and will forever do. Praise God!!!

I’ll be back with something new and interesting soon.

Until then, know your essence!!!

Love you.

Hey pals, this topic has been an exposing and revealing one. I’m really humbled by my findings from the scriptures. I had to do alot of questioning and assessment but we bless God for His sufficient Grace. It’s easier by the day with constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit. I could see all that God expects of us. He has already loved us to have sent His only son Christ Jesus to die for us.
John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. (KJV)

What an incomparable love. In my last post being the part 1 of this topic, I made reference to a particular bible verse that points out ways to love God.
Mark 12: 29-30; “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.
-And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment”.
I pointed out the heart, soul, mind and strength and I promised to explain in details how we can love God with all of that. Let’s get into it right away;
God is our biggest treasure and if we love Him with all our heart, we will do all that will make Him happy. Our earnest desire will be to please Him.
Matthew 6:21; “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”.
When I first came across Mark 12:29-30,I wondered why body wasn’t mentioned, as I studied further the scriptures and through the revelation of the Holy Spirit I got the answer. The real us isn’t our body, our soul is, and if we can subject the soul to loving God through the help of the Holy Spirit, our body won’t do otherwise.
The soul is the spirit or essence of a person which consist of our thoughts and personality.

Loving God with our mind requires our reasoning and intellect.
Isaiah 26:2-4; “Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.
-Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
-Trust ye in the LORD for ever:for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength”.
Ephesians 4:21-23; “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus.
-That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.
-And be renewed in the spirit of your mind”.
Your actions and deeds should reflect the love of God. We need to love God by working for Him. Putting in our resources, time and energy. His will before ours.
Philemon 1:6; “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus”.
The communication in the above verse refers to translation of actions and dispositions.
Matthew 7:16-20; “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
-Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
-A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
-Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
-Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them”.

Wow, I did not want to end this post but I have to and please if you’re just reading this blog for the first time, you may want to check out the part 1 of this topic to understand better. I hope you’re learning from this. He requires our love for Him to be and do everything for us. The part 3, will be up before you blink so stay glued.
Until then, know your essence!!!
Love you.

It’s been a while I dropped something here and I’m so happy to be putting this post up because I learnt a lot while studying the subject. I usually let the Holy Spirit guide me on what to write or put up but this time around, I deliberately decided to accept the suggestion dropped in the comment section, asking that I discuss ways to love God. I am so glad that I’m on it now because I finally have the opportunity to tell you all that I have learnt from this particular journey. I had to do a thorough study of scriptures and it really gave a lot of prayer points I must confess; which is now a way to daily rededicate myself to God and ask for His grace to do His will everyday of my life. For by strength shall no man prevail. This journey isn’t for the mortal body, the spirit in us is the real us and once Christ is in us, we’ll be quickened to do all things. I don’t intend to deviate but I decided to drop this just before the usual thoughts begin to creep in. You may ask; can I do this? Is it achievable? And thoughts of impossibilities start running through your mind.
Phillipians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. Glory to God!!!
We’re in this journey together remember, so feel free to ask any question.

Mark 12:29-30 says
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment”. KJV
Now we have heart, soul, mind and strength. Most importantly “All” not some or few (smiles).
The first time I came across this verse, I was so excited because I’ve always asked myself this question “how can I love God? We can’t love Him back as much as He loves us. His love for us is incomparable, the more reason we should try our best to love Him back because He desires that intimacy and those moments we share with our friends and families also.

I’ll be breaking this topic into 3 parts and this is the first part as you saw earlier, so stay glued to this blog. Look out for the subsequent posts because it’s a huge one to talk about and I promise to put it up as soon as possible.
Did you look for body in the aforementioned list? I did too and I wondered why it wasn’t mentioned but I’ll tell us why it wasn’t- just keep following. Some of us love God with reserves, either for our family, business/career, friends or partner. We already know that God is a jealous God and has created man for His will which makes Him first over every other thing or person in our lives.
Loving God is easier said than done, but with conscious efforts we can do it. Anyway, I’m always happy that I’m on God’s side because with Him all things are possible.

Sorry guys, I have to stop here for now and I’ll be back soon to give you in details how you can love God with your heart, spirit, mind and strength, then finally ways to love God. I’m on this journey too so don’t think you’re alone.
Until then, know your essence!!!
Love you.

There’s no other place I’d rather be if not where I am right now, Christ has given me so much hope for my life. I wake every morning with so much enthusiasm knowing that whatever the day offers has been planned out by my Maker who knows my end from my beginning. At some point in my life, I tried to fit into the world’s system like I call it, I tried to do things the way every other person was doing it but I didn’t blend into the system. Then I realised that I’m in the world but not of the world.

As a young girl, I was taught the Bible and I knew God loved me but I wasn’t taught how to love Him back as much as I should. I did go to church but it took me a while to realise that there was more to God than I knew. I didn’t know there was so much more to do to show the love of God that is shed abroad in my heart so I lost track. I started singing what they were singing and doing what the world wanted until I lost my self esteem and confidence. I couldn’t retrace my steps from where I lost it. Sin engolfed me, I swam in it that I wake up every morning crying of a lost hope and a blurred vision of where I was headed in life. My essence was not known as at the age of 21.

I started trying out everything I could do to restore my hope and have a wonderful career path but it always proved abortive without Him, though I wasn’t completely lost because I’ve always known what I wanted for myself but recently I realized my life isn’t just about what I want for myself but what He wants for me first. His will supersedes mine because He made me for a purpose and I always pray to walk in that purpose.

God has a lot of promises for our lives and I have seen some come to pass in my life- indeed, my life has been glorious. “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2Peter 1:4)KJV”. I really wonder why some people prefer to love this world that is full of wickedness and restlessness. In Him there’s peace, rest, fulfillment and so much more, He hasn’t called us into a life of suffering but the enemy is always about the business of destruction. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10)”. The enemy’s offers are never free, he gives one a blessing and he takes more than one payment for his offer. The God-kind of life is incomparably sweet, fun and beautiful. Don’t worry, if you don’t know how to enjoy this life, you can leave a comment asking how in the comment section. God has given us all that we require to have a beautiful life but most of us don’t see it. We are blind to the fact that He has given us more than what we need- or will ever need.

Alot of people pride in their cars, good clothes,good shoes, phones, or even money, but my greatest possession is Christ Jesus because having Him makes me joint heir and all He has I have too. This is a beautiful thing to know. Ever since I knew this, I started walking with my head high and praying that everyone else understands this and takes the decision of choosing the “BETTER PLACE”. Don’t let the pleasures of this world deceive you; they are all temporary and deceitful too. A place in God is the safest and greatest place to be secure. I love the Lord!!!
Make that decision to be in Him and live the “God life”. It gives much reward. I’ll be back again as soon as possible.
Until then, know your essence!!!
Love you.

DON’T JUST BE A WOMAN!!! be a help meet too.

Even as a girl child when my friends would say they would have been happier if they were boys, I didn’t buy into the idea; I couldn’t accept the thought because I didn’t see any fun or reason not to love being a woman. That was me as a child and speaking from the flesh too. As the appreciation of who I was created to be increased as I became an adult and lived from the spirit, I got a deeper insight of who I was according to Genesis 2:18;
“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”KJV

In my first post when I was trying to introduce the help meet, I defined a help as a rescue, aid or assistant and defined meet as the coming together of two forces, points, or personalities from opposite directions to a point. These two words are different words which were used to describe one purpose God created woman for which has been recently merged as one word and even sometimes called “helpmate”.

I always refer to women as “super beings”. Don’t worry if you’re a man reading this, you’re no less important but I’ll clearly state the reason for the title. I’ve always seen women do practically everything men can do but I’ve never seen a man birth a child. I know I’ll be sparking a controversy somehow, but this was me thinking as a girl until I had a better reason to justify my title (smiles). It hurts to see that a lot of women don’t even know their essence and purpose, and get easily swayed by the thought and statement of wanting to be a man while we can make men want to be women.

A helpmeet for me is someone who joins force (personality) with someone in need of it. Adam was alone and he needed company and that was why God gave him a woman and not another man. Opposite of what Adam was in gender, was what was given to him. Some rest on the statement that we were made from a rib of a man. That’s true but the New Testament brought alot of changes according to Galatians 3:28;
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

This is not some campaign for feminism, but an eye opener to some women who don’t know that they’ve been given the same mantle given to men but that hasn’t changed the fact they are the head over us in marriage and we must submit as in Ephesians 5:22-24
“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says
“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.”
Don’t you see that men need women as much as we need them. This particular verse of the Bible inspired me to want to fill myself up as much as I can before being joined with the one that will refer to me as the bone of his bones just as Adam called Eve when he woke from the creation surgery- Genesis 2:23;
“And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
Together mountains and strong walls will be pulled down and exploits will be made in both lives.
I don’t feel like ending this particular post because I love to talk about it alot. It’s time we made women know that they weren’t just called into making babies alone or being wives but to find out their purpose and essence, groom it until their partner comes just as Boaz found Ruth while working. Be busy with your life fulfilling God’s purpose for your life. It’s a wrap dear, I’ll be back soon.

Until then, know your essence!!!
Love you.
